About The Position
Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders. Join our team as an ABA Counselor where you#ll play a vital role in providing educational instruction to students within a structured classroom environment. You#ll assist in developing teaching plans tailored to the needs of children and adolescents with emotional, developmental, and/or behavioral challenges. Make a difference in the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal development as well as your own.
Requirements
- Bachelor#s Degree in Education, Human Service Field, or Psychology
- Valid US driver#s license and minimum age of 21
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience or interest in Applied Behavior Analysis and special education preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide educational instruction to students in a structured classroom environment
- Assist in developing and implementing teaching plans tailored to individual student needs
- Implement behavior management and clinical protocols effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support student growth and development
