AB Initio Developer – HYBRID (JACKSONVILLE, FL) ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for an Ab Initio Developer! This is starting out as a 12 month contract position with potential to extend longer or possibly convert to FTE. The position is hybrid, with a couple of days per week onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio (GDE, Co>Operating System, EME)
  • Experience converting existing Ab Initio ETL processes to Stored Procedure–based ELT architecture
  • Writing highly complex SQL queries (joins across large fact tables, window functions, performance tuning)
  • Strong stored procedures development experience
  • Experience with IBM Netezza (Preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Oracle Database
  • Handling large-scale batch processing (10TB+ datasets preferred)
  • Experience working with very large, high-volume enterprise databases
  • Indexing, partitioning, query performance optimization
  • Strong Unix/Linux Shell Scripting experience
  • Tools: Ab Initio, Netezza, SQL Server, SSIS, or similar ETL tools.
  • Unix/Linux Scripting for Automation.
  • Automating data pipelines (e.g., cron jobs, error handling, file transfers).
  • Stored Procedure Development.
  • Data Quality & Governance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, HL7) and compliance (HIPAA, PHI).
  • Understanding of healthcare analytics use cases (risk modeling, population health).

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining Ab Initio graphs for batch and continuous processing.
  • Writing complex SQL queries for ELT/ETL pipelines in Netezza (preferred) or similar RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Designing optimized data models (fact/dimension tables) for analytics.
  • Handling high-volume batch jobs (e.g., nightly healthcare claims processing).
  • Building reusable, efficient stored procedures for data transformations and batch workflows.
  • Creating data profiles, writing scripts, and developing workflows to support the data quality program.
  • Performing data analysis to identify data quality issues for relational and non-relational data sources.
