Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a A220 Flight Line Team Lead (2nd Shift) based in Mobile, AL. Assists the department manager in providing Flight Line Operations support according to the Milestone and Delivery schedule. Achieves this by assigning work, securing materials and tools, training operators and reporting and monitoring Flight Line quality and output. Activities are limited to a specific function or area. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges: Assumes all routine Flight Line responsibilities of the group manager in the manager's absence. Troubleshoots Flight Line problems and secures necessary assistance to resolve them. Reviews Flight Line schedule and assigns work to facilitate meeting schedules. Establishes an orderly flow of parts, tools and materials. Keeps Flight Line records and monitors for accuracy of reporting. Maintains level of supplies in selected areas. In conjunction with Quality monitors line quality and notifies personnel of deviations. Assists managers in performance reviews, recommends disciplinary action, promotion, etc. Is an advocate for LEAN within the group; encourages LEAN thinking and supports and assists in the implementation of LEAN initiatives/KAIZENS. Assists technicians in running tests and helps solve Flight Line problems. Trains new operators and cross-trains as assigned. Daily Review and Monitoring of Employee workbook time clocking and PTO. May be responsible for coordinating activities with contractors. May fill in for absent operators as necessary. Able to interface with customers in a professional manner. Able to interface with key departments such as Quality, Engineering, CAM and Flight Test Personnel. Perform other duties as assigned.
