About The Position

SourceAmerica is seeking an experienced A/V & Event Support Engineer to join the Information Technology team. This role will manage end-to-end video conferencing operations and audio/visual (A/V) operations for on-site, off-site, and hybrid events using Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Manage conference room technology across all offices, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and updates for Zoom Rooms and Teams Rooms. Coordinate major events and conferences, provide technical support for leadership and board meetings, and deliver webinar support for large-scale sessions. Develop improvement plans, implement new A/V technologies, and establish best practices for secure communications. Train users, maintain documentation, and serve as backup for Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and asset management processes. Travel as needed to support business requirements. Due to the requirements of this position, the candidate must be based at SourceAmerica's National office in Vienna VA and work 5 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, A/V Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in A/V support and event technology management.
  • Experience with desktop/laptop and application support.
  • Experience with Neat technology for Zoom and MS Teams usage. (Or equivalent hardware)
  • Deep expertise and strong awareness of current trends in video conferencing, streaming and A/V technology.
  • Understanding of Zoom/Teams based conferencing system and endpoints.
  • Understanding of video editing technologies.
  • Aptitude to evaluate and become proficient in new technologies, processes, and skills.
  • Must be able to perform vendor management (track commitments and escalate with vendors as needed).
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate leadership and board.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Familiar with accessibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • CTS certification, Zoom/Teams Rooms certifications, experience with streaming platforms.
  • Proven proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proficient user experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. SourceAmerica uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 as its business application system.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end video conferencing operations and A/V support for on-site, off-site, and hybrid events using Zoom and Microsoft Teams; represent IT in planning with Events, Facilities, and business stakeholders, and conduct multiple technology dry runs to ensure reliable, effective outcomes.
  • Image, configure, and prepare SourceAmerica conference systems and peripherals for major events; manage shipping logistics for technology to external conferences/events; coordinate technical resources and equipment for the Xforce Conference.
  • Manage and support Zoom/Microsoft Teams collaboration with field offices and external affiliates (Department of Defense, U.S. AbilityOne Commission, and NPAs) and provide remote guidance for regional/off-site meetings and online events.
  • Oversee installation and periodic testing of sound and microphone reinforcement, audio distribution, and Zoom/Neat video conferencing hardware.
  • Manage and maintain conference room technology across all offices (Zoom Rooms/Microsoft Teams Rooms via the Zoom portal); configure, troubleshoot, and perform ongoing software and security updates for Neat bar/pad and Logitech hardware; create and maintain system documentation and user guides.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-range video conferencing technology improvement plans with minimal operational disruption; establish standard policies and procedures; evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies.
  • Train and advise users on best practices for online presentations and secure communications (video conferencing, chat, screen, and information sharing); provide webinar support for events with 100+ participants; manage CEO/Leadership webinars including support, recording, editing, and distribution; collaborate with the Training Department on video editing and webinar recordings.
  • Provide direct support to Board Members and the leadership team via on-site, phone, and remote access; coordinate special projects/tasks with the Executive Assistant.
  • Provide software support and guidance to team members; serve as backup for IT infrastructure colleagues and act as the primary backup for IT asset lifecycle management processes.
  • Travel as required based on business needs.
