About The Position

We are seeking an A/V & Event Specialist to support enterprise audio-visual technologies and collaboration environments. This role provides both in-person and remote technical support, assists with AV installations and event coordination, and delivers high-quality customer service through clear communication and timely follow-through.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (additional certifications or relevant education preferred)
  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently or as part of a team
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Ownership of a smartphone capable of receiving security updates and running required mobile applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Service Management tools)
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Windows 10/11
  • Experience with: Audiovisual system commissioning (enterprise or integrator environments preferred)
  • Control systems and DSP platforms (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS)
  • AV signal flow, AV-over-IP, structured cabling standards, and rack build best practices
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 0–1 year of related experience in IT, audiovisual support, or high-tech environments

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist with audio-visual installations, setups, and video conferencing support
  • Provide technical support for virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.)
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms–certified audiovisual equipment
  • Monitor and maintain collaboration systems using administrative and vendor monitoring tools
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Recommend improvements to enhance utilization of collaboration and conference spaces
  • Train end users and technical staff on audiovisual systems and equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation, asset tracking, and inventory records
  • Collaborate with other IT teams on projects and initiatives
  • Provide onsite support during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM)
  • Provide after-hours and event-based support as required
  • Travel up to 50% to remote locations for event coordination and technical support
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
