Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for an A&T Technician I to join them. You will report to the Performance Leader and will have an onsite, 2nd shift work schedule in East Aurora, New York.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 1 years of related experience in a related technical field.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform several precision assembly and test operations on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical valves, actuators, and systems.
  • Assembly activity uses a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers to obtain proper build requirements.
  • Perform test activity that requires the use of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic test equipment, fixtures, and tools.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies using torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling and gauging.
  • Work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and oral.
  • Diagnose test failures and perform necessary rework in order that the unit will pass test requirements.
  • Clean components to required cleanliness levels.
  • May work on repair units normally run with production units.
  • Positively contribute to the teamwork environment regarding productivity, initiative, cooperation, data collection and attitude.
