About The Position

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. The Airbus H160 A&P Mechanic performs aircraft component replacements and comprehensive airframe and powerplant maintenance using specialized tooling and ground support equipment. They troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and OEM technical publications. The mechanic conducts scheduled and unscheduled inspections and performs maintenance on the Safran Arrano 1A engine and associated rotorcraft systems. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification required.
  • 2-5 years Rotary wing A&P experience required. Safran Arrano 1A engine certification required.
  • Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing turbine engine and rotorcraft maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and replace various airframe and powerplant components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Airbus H160 helicopter systems.
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on Safran Arrano 1A engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Responsible for performing progressive, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to FAA regulations and applicable technical publications.
  • Ensure all maintenance is properly performed and documented in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM maintenance manuals, quality assurance requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform functional checks of fuel, hydraulic, engine, rotor, flight control, avionics, and environmental systems in a timely manner.
  • Perform engine runs and return-to-service procedures in accordance with approved data and maintenance manuals.
  • Complete diagnostics and troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems and subsystems; maintain aircraft technical publications, logbooks, and maintenance records.
  • Read and interpret mechanical manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
