Highly qualified candidates with extensive industry-specific experience may be eligible for a higher starting wage. Bring your experience and become part of a dedicated maintenance team, supporting Bell customers out of our OEM Facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this position you’ll serve as part of a “one stop shop” for a variety of commercial rotorcraft services, performing tasks from small avionics upgrades to complete aircraft rebuilds. You’ll be able to demonstrate your technical abilities by performing tasks as aircraft inspections, repairs, maintenance, fabrications, installations, and post-maintenance test flights.

Requirements

  • FAA A&P Certificate.
  • 3+ years of experience with commercial turbine helicopter maintenance, preferably in a part 145 environment
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Technical expertise.
  • Ability to prioritize work, and to exercise strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, strong sense of responsibly, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions closely, good organization skills.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate and coordinate with others.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes and engines in accordance with FAA 145 requirements.
  • Perform major sheet metal repairs and fabricate sheet metal and composite parts when needed.
  • Install kits and assisting with fly-offs.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with all instructions, regulatory requirements, and company policies, and properly document all work performed.
