The 988 and Referral Clinician is responsible for ensuring timely triage, coordination, and admission for referrals from local and regional referral sources for adults and children needing Crisis Stabilization and Emergency Services. This position supports various functions to include processing hospital Baker Act referrals, promoting timely response and admission acceptance. The individual also supports answering 988 crisis line calls with backup support from Emergency Services clinicians. This position enhances service availability by ensuring that Baker Act referrals remain within county lines whenever possible. This clinician will also support timely financial authorization and verification processes to ensure the accuracy of insurance information, assist with client admission financial checks, and complete daily and weekly tracking reports to maintain operational and financial accountability.
