About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a proactive Chief of Staff (Level 5) to support Lean Manufacturing & BPS on the 777 Team in Everett, Washington. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff for the 777 Lean & Boeing Production System (BPS) Organization to drive operational excellence across our production system. This role represents a unique opportunity to influence and shape a high-impact continuous improvement agenda within a growing and innovative organization. A successful candidate will excel in the following: Working cross functionally through influence Strong project management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Data Mining and Analytics Event Planning & Tours – Program & Enterprise Logistics Preparation of Executive Level Presentations Knowledge of Boeing Production System & Operations This position will play a pivotal role in partnering directly with the 777 Leadership Team & BCA Manufacturing & Safety to drive Lean Improvements and standards for the program.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years of experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Familiarity with One BPS (Boeing Production System)
  • Lean Knowledge
  • PMP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Lean/BPS consultant, utilizing Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Trains less experienced employees in group leadership and facilitation skills
  • Coordinates complex activities across multiple functions and outside organizations to maintain and improve operational efficiency in support of enterprise operations
  • Identifies and mitigates the impact of changes on the production system
  • Leads teams to conduct assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
  • Analyzes and interprets data
  • Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
  • Leads organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
  • Works under consultative direction.
