The Teaching Lab Studio Facilitator/Coach’s primary responsibility is to facilitate professional learning and provide instructional coaching for ELA educators and school leaders implementing the Studio Classroom Model for ELA, with a focus on ensuring all students—especially those below grade level—can access rigorous, grade-level ELA curriculum. With support from their project team members, the Facilitator/Coach will also hold responsibilities in the following areas: Designing and delivering professional learning aligned to the Studio Classroom Model for ELA, using feedback cycles and classroom evidence to continuously improve supports Providing tailored 1:1 and group coaching (in-person and virtual) focused on curriculum implementation (EL Education/ HMH), lesson routines, and productive academic discourse Coaching teachers to effectively integrate AI-enabled instructional tools to support differentiation while maintaining rigor and high expectations Supporting data collection, reflection, and weekly communication routines to track implementation progress and inform model iteration The Facilitator/Coach role is an individual contributor-level role with no management responsibilities. This role is essential to ensuring effective delivery and continuous improvement of the Studio Classroom Model for ELA. Success in this position requires strong collaboration, adaptability, ELA instructional expertise (including MTSS/secondary literacy), and a commitment to advancing excellent teaching and learning for all students.
