About The Position

The 5th Grade Teacher at St. Clement of Rome Catholic School is responsible for providing high-quality, faith-centered instruction that fosters academic growth, personal responsibility, and spiritual development. This position supports students during a key transitional year by strengthening core academic skills while nurturing leadership, independence, and Catholic values. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Valid teaching certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religion
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, Gospel values, prayer, and service into daily classroom instruction and activities
  • Create a structured, respectful classroom environment that promotes responsibility, collaboration, and Christian character
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to meet diverse learning needs and monitor student progress
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varying academic abilities and learning styles
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress regularly with parents and guardians
  • Collaborate with grade-level teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success and school-wide goals
  • Support student development through positive behavior management and consistent expectations
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school liturgies, and community events
  • Uphold school policies, diocesan guidelines, and accreditation standards
