We have a positive school climate and culture for our faculty and students, where we consider ourselves a family and do whatever it takes to ensure that our students are successful. We are a previous turnaround school that has made drastic improvements within the past few years. Some accomplishments of Clifton Hills include being recognized as a state of Tennessee Level 5 school and a Model Demonstration School for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Expeditionary Learning Credentialed School, as well as exiting the state's priority list. Our teachers enjoy numerous opportunities to improve their craft through individualized professional development. Interested in joining our team? Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Tennessee teaching license in Elementary Education (K-5) OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
- Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
- Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
- Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
- Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
- Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
