About The Position

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Old Monroe is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Full-Time 3rd Grade Teacher to join the school faculty. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a positive, faith-centered classroom environment, and supporting students' academic, social, and spiritual growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional skills, a love for working with children, and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education. This candidate would collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid Missouri teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience teaching elementary students or working in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create engaging lessons that support academic and faith development.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Must meet Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
  • Create a structured, supportive, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Integrate faith formation into daily instruction and classroom life.
  • Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of 3rd grade learners.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, grades, and student documentation.
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student success and spiritual formation.
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and schoolwide events.
  • Model Catholic values and contribute positively to the spiritual life of the school community.
