About The Position

Will work in a large warehouse environment receiving items from delivery trucks, sorting product by NSN and condition code and placing items in the appropriate warehouse area. They could also be picking items for outbound shipments, sorting inbound shipments or assembling/un-assembling kits. The persons in these positions will work relatively unsupervised throughout the day. Accuracy is extremely important, but speed is also a factor. The worker must be able to recognize discrepant 15-digit part numbers.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must be able lift up to 40 pounds on a moderate basis.
Must be able lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Must have reliable transportation to get between job locations.
Must be able to gain and maintain the necessary security clearances.
Basic English reading and writing skills.
Basic math, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Responsibilities

Use radio-frequency stock locator.
Reports any discrepancies in orders to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
Key in 15-digit part numbers into computer.
Meets established deadlines.
Maintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer’s standards of use and cleaning.
Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Operate push carts and motorized pallet jacks.
Must be able to recognize discrepant 15-digit part numbers.
Enter computerized data and print tags.
Other duties as assigned.
