About The Position

The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 3K Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team. Our 3K classroom provides a fun, nurturing, and hands-on environment that supports each child's social, emotional, and academic development through play-based learning and exploration. We are proud to partner with New York City's 3-K for All initiative, serving children ages 3-4 in alignment with DOE and DOHMH standards.

Requirements

Must meet NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) Group Teacher qualifications, which include one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and coursework in early childhood, OR Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and two years of classroom experience, OR CDA (Child Development Associate) credential and three years of experience working with preschool-age children.
At least 1 year of classroom teaching experience required.
Must meet all NYC DOHMH licensing requirements for a Group Teacher.

Nice To Haves

NY State Teaching Certification in Birth-Grade 2 or currently enrolled in a study plan toward certification preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Create a warm, engaging classroom where children develop confidence, curiosity, and school readiness skills.
Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Creative Curriculum and NYC DOE 3-K learning standards.
Support children's social-emotional growth through positive guidance and individualized attention.
Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication and progress updates.
Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to maintain DOE compliance, classroom documentation, and safety standards.
