What are we looking for? The 3 D Laser Scan Technician will perform multiple inspection tasks within a Dimensional Control and Laser Scanning Team, as required within general survey work activities. This position will travel to client sites to perform inspections. This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Requirements

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record is required
Must be able to work in outside environments onshore/offshore
Must be able to work at heights up to 200'
Competence in operating a Laser Scanner
Must be comfortable with written and oral communication skills and well organized
Must be prepared to travel
Flexibility with work schedules and hours
Ability to lift 40lbs.

Nice To Haves

Refinery or Chemical Plant experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Operate effectively within a survey team with minimum supervision
Carry out a minimum of 75% of all aspects of Dimensional Control and Laser Scanning (as required within general survey work activities)
Prepare scans for site registration
Train and assess trainee personnel
Perform and check scan data
Direct/perform small and large scan projects
Liaise with client representatives and drafts / checks simple project final reports
