3D Experience Group Manager The 3D Experience Group resides in Vehicle OS under Human Interface Design; this is where GM’s UX brand storytelling becomes real inside the digital cabin. 3D design has become essential to modern automotive UX. It brings realism, physicality, and spatial logic to screens, creating an emotional link between the vehicle and the digital experience. The 3D Experience Group ensures GM’s digital experiences maintain a premium level of fidelity, brand alignment, and visual clarity across models, software generations, and surfaces. This role shapes the spatial identity of GM’s digital cabins through their displays. The right leader will bring vision, technical literacy, and a deep appreciation for lighting, materiality, and realism. As the 3D Experience Group Manager, you’ll lead the team responsible for high-end rendering, digital vehicle and environment representation, asset creation workflows, and 3D art direction. Your group will establish spatial principles, rendering standards, and brand-aligned 3D approaches that support product teams, identity storytelling, and leadership presentations. You’ll collaborate closely with data prep, vehicle studios, motion, and sound to ensure every 3D moment feels integrated and intentional. Culturally, this team operates like a high-end visualization studio inside a product org; craft-obsessed, curious, and collaborative. Designers here blend artistry and technical depth, moving between concept and production with confidence. We look for leaders who value detail and realism, who can articulate a clear 3D philosophy, and who know how to build systems that scale across large UX portfolios. This is not a maintenance or marketing role; it’s a leadership position shaping how GM’s brands express themselves in every interaction a driver sees and feels. The right leader will understand this is a long-term responsibility with a lasting impact on GM’s future.
