About The Position

The 340B Compliance Specialist, is responsible for supporting compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program at North Olympic Healthcare Network (‘NOHN”) by reviewing and evaluating compliance with statutory rules and regulations and internal policies and procedures that govern the health center.

Requirements

  • Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate (“Certificate”) holder preferred. If a candidate is not a Certificate holder it is expected they will train to obtain one shortly after being hired.
  • Washington State Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of computers, office automation software and related tools. Specifically, MSOffice suite applications Excel and Word.

  • Normal accessibility and mobility throughout the region required.
  • May on occasion need to work overtime/extended work hours.
  • To support retail pharmacy operations and patient access, this role requires regular availability between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, except for required breaks and approved PTO.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed applicable post-secondary education.
  • Experience with Liberty pharmacy software and Epic Systems medical health record preferred.
  • Previous exposure or experience with HRSA regulations and associated compliance requirements is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support NOHN’s 340B Drug Pricing Program and 340B Retail Prescription Referrals for compliance and performance.
  • Assist with preparation and refinement of monthly 340B cost savings reports
  • Use provided tools to monitor prescription data, patient data, payer data and, if required, ICD-10 codes.
  • Maintain current and accurate compliance documents.
  • Build and maintain compliance and audit reports.
  • Identify areas of potential compliance vulnerability and risk, develop corrective actions plans for issue resolution, and provide general guidance on how to avoid recurrence.
  • Educate and assist NOHN staff in understanding of 340B program in a Community Health Center setting.
  • Provide updates on compliance testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate and safeguard NOHN’s compliance with HRSA program rules and regulations.
  • Maintain effective, positive relationships amongst the staff, peers and management while providing excellent service to program stakeholders
