About The Position

The 340B Analyst supports MedCura’s mission to deliver equitable and affordable care by maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and financial effectiveness of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Reporting to the 340B Program Manager, this role manages daily program operations, performs routine self‑audits, oversees contract pharmacy data and reconciliations, mitigates duplicate discount risks, and develops actionable analytics to strengthen program savings while ensuring full adherence to Health Resources & Services Administration/Office of Pharmacy Affairs (HRSA/OPA) regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, pharmacy, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in 340B program operations, pharmacy support, revenue cycle, compliance, or another healthcare operational role; Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 340B program fundamentals, including patient definition, contract pharmacy basics, and HRSA/OPA expectations (training will be provided).
  • Experience using EHR systems, preferably athenaOne, and TPA platforms and pharmacy dispensing systems.
  • Strong data accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to follow established workflows, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, filters, and basic dashboard creation.
  • Ability to conduct routine audits, review documentation, and identify discrepancies using established criteria and guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and support training efforts as directed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, work queues, and deadlines in a fast‑paced FQHC environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily and weekly third‑party administrator (TPA) work queues, resolve eligibility flags, and validate claim‑level 340B compliance across in‑scope service lines.
  • Maintain prescriber rosters, panel assignments, service‑location eligibility (including child sites and mobile units), and 340B identifiers in OPAIS as directed by the Program Manager.
  • Assist with replenishment reviews and support inventory oversight for clinic‑administered drugs.
  • Conduct routine self‑audits using established sampling methods, document findings, and support corrective actions as directed.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining HRSA audit‑readiness materials, including audit binders, sampling frames, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs), Medicaid Exclusion File (MEF) history, provider lists, eligibility evidence, and replenishment records.
  • Participate in mock audits and verify documentation supporting patient, provider, location eligibility.
  • Update and validate the MEF in coordination with billing and revenue cycle teams to prevent duplicate discounts.
  • Monitor manufacturer restrictions and 340B electronic submission portal (ESP) submissions, escalating issues or risks to the Program Manager.
  • Support contract pharmacy oversight by validating eligibility, reviewing accumulations, verifying replenishment activity, and assisting with invoice and credit memo reconciliation.
  • Investigate variances between TPA accumulations and pharmacy dispense data, perform root‑cause analysis under guidance, and prepare data for quarterly business reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Excel‑based dashboards and analyses to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as capture rate, error rates, savings, and days‑to‑replenish.
  • Perform data pulls from the electronic health record (EHR), TPA, and pharmacy systems to validate eligibility and investigate anomalies.
  • Summarize findings and prepare clear written reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist with maintaining 340B policies, procedures, and SOPs by supporting updates and version control as directed.
  • Provide refresher training to clinical, billing, and patient access teams on 340B workflows and compliance requirements.
  • Support system upgrades and workflow changes across EHR, TPA, and pharmacy platforms, as well as new site or service‑line implementations.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Compliance, IT, and Finance to strengthen data integrity and workflow execution.
  • Provide documentation and operational support during HRSA or manufacturer audits, including compiling materials and responding to requests under direction.
