What you will do: Automation lead of 2nd shift warehouse associates reporting to the 2nd shift Dematic Supervisor. Process orders using the Dematic Goods To Person (GTP) system Oversee operator task assignments Develop a familiarity with the associated Dematic automation software programs. Monitor current order volume and ensure that the team is staffed to accurately fulfill all orders for the evening. Assist the on-site automation mechanics with troubleshooting and addressing basic faults. Work wiith inventory control to address inventory discrepancies and to ensure that the automation system has appropriate inventory levels. Monitor the software system and quickly address any potential issues. Escalate issues regarding staffing, inventory, automation, etc. to the appropriate shift supervisor. Track and replenish supplies to ensure that all materials are available for the shift. Review data and identify trends that can help increase efficiencies and/or improve processes. What you will bring: Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. Attention to detail and good time management skills. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities. Initiative and eagerness to learn cutting-edge warehouse technology. Physical Requirements and Work Environment. The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift, which is typically 8-9 hours. The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50lbs. The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb steps and stairs. The ability to work on a 2nd floor open mezzanine. This job is performed in a large distribution center warehouse environment which can have fluctuating temperatures. Salary Range: $19-25/hr., varies based on experience.
