About The Position

The Team Lead position is responsible for assisting the Production Manager in running the manufacturing floor including assisting employees with machine set up and troubleshooting, training and onboarding of new hires, and monitoring production runs for correct set-up operation and product quality. Hours are Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm. May require some overtime and weekend hours.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience 1 -2 years preferred
  • Previous Team Lead experience preferred
  • Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Lead responsibility for checking, assigning and delegating work for up to 20 subordinate regular and contract employees on all shifts.
  • No final responsibility for hiring, firing or discipline.
  • Use various testing devices, chemicals and material moving equipment according to appropriate guidelines and procedures.
  • Demonstrate capacity to problem solve as issues arise, and elevate complex problems to the production manager as needed.
  • Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork and generate production reports.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
