About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES: · Provide leadership to create a working environment that drives excellence in productivity, customer service and quality. · Help ensure shift compliance with all safety, quality and production goals, as well as identify cost saving opportunities · Assist with efforts to develop and implement plans to meet or exceed requirements for product quality, cost and on-time delivery · Communicate specifications and job orders to workers and monitor job performance · Work with Human Resources to recruit, hire, train, appraise, coach and provide disciplinary action for workforce ensuring employees are able to perform their duties effectively. · Direct activities of workers supervised · Help facilitate resolutions of work problems · Coordinate activities of workers responsible for picking product and preparing it for shipping. · Identify work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow for the Shipping Department. · Other duties as needed Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: · Proven team leader · Excellent problem-solving skills · High school diploma or general education (GED) · Prior supervision skills in a team lead type position · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · 3 years prior supervision experience · Microsoft Office · Previous shipping, manufacturing or production environment experience in a food or pharmaceutical environment is preferred · At least 4 years manufacturing experience · Be dependable and self-motivated · Ability to bend and stand for extended periods of time · Mechanically inclined . Schedule: 10hr workdays Monday-Thursday. Additionally, Friday's will be required during the summer months.

  • 3 years prior supervision experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • At least 4 years manufacturing experience
  • Be dependable and self-motivated
  • Ability to bend and stand for extended periods of time
  • Mechanically inclined

  • Previous shipping, manufacturing or production environment experience in a food or pharmaceutical environment is preferred
