TITLE: 2nd Shift Packer LOCATION: Avon, OH SHIFT & HOURS: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Saturday overtime as needed) Hiring Hourly Rate: $17.80/hr + $2.00 Shift Differential Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a 2nd Shift Packer to be responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment to ensure products are packed, labeled, and palletized accurately and on time while maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to carry out simple instructions and handle routine tasks
  • Ability to work onsite in Avon, OH on a full-time basis
  • Ability to complete forklift certification

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous manufacturing or packaging experience
  • Experience working in a food production environment
  • Strong teamwork and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret production schedules to pack finished goods accurately, ensuring correct cartons and labels are used
  • Assemble cartons, apply labels, and pack the correct number of products into each carton
  • Set up, operate, and maintain packaging equipment such as tapers and code daters
  • Stack cartons on pallets according to required configurations
  • Accurately record production and yield data
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Support audit requirements and maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
