TITLE: 2nd Shift Packer LOCATION: Onsite role in Avon, Ohio SHIFT & HOURS: Monday – Friday (Saturday Overtime) 3:00pm - 11:30pm Hiring Hourly Rate: Hiring Hourly Rate: $17.80/ $2.00 Shift Differential Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Packaging Operator to be responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment to ensure products are packed, labeled, and palletized accurately and on time. This role supports production schedules while maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The operator also helps keep the work area safe, clean, and efficient.

Requirements

  • It is essential to have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Must have basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Must be able to complete forklift certification program

Nice To Haves

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret production schedules to pack finished goods accurately, ensuring correct cartons and labels are used.
  • Erect cartons, apply labels, and place the correct number of pouches or cups into each carton.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain taper and code dater equipment.
  • Stack cartons on pallets in the correct tier configuration and layer count.
  • Record yield and production data accurately.
  • Complete all required training for the role, demonstrate understanding, and apply training on the job.
  • Ensure all products meet Food Safety, Quality, Legal, and Authenticity standards for both source and destination locations.
  • Support BRC requirements by coordinating, reviewing, and implementing functional area protocols.
  • Participate in audits, provide training as needed, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legal requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
