About The Position

Christ the King Catholic School is an exceptional Catholic school community committed to academic excellence and faith formation. We are seeking a highly qualified Second Grade Teacher to provide rigorous, standards-based instruction while preparing students for Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Master’s preferred).
• Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices.
• Practicing Catholic preferred; must support Catholic teachings and mission.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religion.
• Implement a structured literacy approach and strong foundational math instruction.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Integrate Catholic teachings and Gospel values across the curriculum.
• Prepare students for Reconciliation and First Eucharist in partnership with parish and families.
• Maintain a structured, positive, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues and communicate regularly with parents.
