About The Position

LICENSED VACANCY POSITION: 21st Century Grant Coordinator (Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish required) This role is designated as an extra duty position and duties will be assigned to a performance agreement. This is a grant funded position and is conditional upon continued funding availability. LOCATION: Adventure Elementary PAY RANGE: $5,000 Stipend (Approximately 125 hours) CALENDAR: March - June 2026 Specific work dates will be determined with School Principal/Assistant Principal TIMELINES : Staff program job postings up by March 9, 2026 Staff hired by March 20, 2026 Enrollment open to families by April 13, 2026 Student enrollment in programming is finalized by May 4, 2026 Fall After School Programing dates: June 1, 2026-June 12, 2026 REPORTS TO: School Principal SCHOOL DESIGN OVERVIEW: Adventure Elementary is a dual language enrichment school where students are exposed to rigorous academics, learn to think critically, and demonstrate real-world understanding. Learning experiences and service-learning projects actively engage Adventure students in their education. What makes Adventure unique is that we offer all students the opportunity to become proficient in English and Spanish. All students participate in Crew meetings every morning. Crew is a sacred part of the day in which students and teachers build community within their rooms so that every child feels important and connected to a trusted adult and each other. SUMMARY: Adventure Elementary received grant dollars to provide extended learning opportunities to students beginning with the 2024-25 school year. The grant funds have the possibility of extension for a total of five years. Adventure's Summer School program will run for the first two weeks in June, June 1-12. Students will attend full days.. Extended learning opportunities will provide dual language students with experiential learning opportunities and experiences to enrich and enhance their: second language, background knowledge, vocabulary, application of academic skills to broader contexts; and social-emotional skills and development. Parents will also be invited to attend a variety of activities alongside their children.

Requirements

  • Current Colorado teaching license required.
  • Must have completed the English Learner Professional Development hours reported on the teaching license OR possess the endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education
  • At least three years' experience working with children.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish required.
  • Ability to collaborate with teacher colleagues to make student-centered decisions.
  • Ability to form strong professional relationships to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Grounded in current language acquisition and dual language research.
  • Sophisticated understanding of teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a school leadership team.
  • Commitment to inclusive practices for language learners.
  • Strong organization and systems management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the School Director to identify and coordinate extended learning opportunities for dual language learners
  • Develop marketing, recruiting, and communication tools in English and Spanish for parents and school staff regarding the extended learning program.
  • Establish procedures and materials for pre-registration and registration of students and parents.
  • Secure and/or order necessary supplies and materials.
  • Communicate with School Director, Licensed Staff, and Partner Organizations to coordinate facilities, equipment, software, supplies/materials, and student plans (including IEP, 504, Health Care).
  • Be available to licensed teachers and Partner Organization instructors to respond to student, staff and parent needs.
  • Ensure administration and reporting of necessary assessment and/or data tracking tools.
  • Follow all district policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison from school administration regarding effectiveness, engagement, and organization of activities and opportunities being provided by partner organizations.
  • Strong leadership, management, communication, and organization skills.
  • Connecting students to the world beyond school through meaningful fieldwork, collaboration, and service learning.
  • Promoting emotional, mental, and physical health and wellness throughout the curriculum and schoolwide culture.
  • Offer a variety of ways for families to participate in the school community and build upon their strengths to act as partners in their child's education.
  • Encourage students to work on building their courage through adventure across physical, academic, and artistic experiences.
  • Coordinate and schedule after school supervision by Classified employees, including submission of classified claim for payments
  • Collaborate with District departments to ensure accurate and timely compliance with reporting requirements
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish required.
