Department Title: Undergrad Intern – Global Alternatives Please read before applying: Start Date: All interns must start in office and in person on June 8, 2026. Anticipated End Date: August 14, 2026 – All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment. Interns must be located in the same location throughout the duration of their internship and are prohibited from returning laptop/equipment to a different office location or shipping their equipment back. Position Summary: The Global Alternatives Business Management Team drives the strategic, operational, and distribution enablement priorities across Franklin Templeton’s Alternatives platform. We sit at the intersection of product, sales, marketing, and operations ensuring our alternative investment businesses are positioned for growth and success across all distribution channels. Our team helps launch new products, streamline processes, enhance data visibility, and deliver impactful initiatives that support the firm’s global alternatives franchise. An intern in this department can expect to learn: How the alternative investments industry works, including private equity, private credit, and real estate structures How business management teams translate strategy into execution across multiple stakeholders How to organize and communicate complex information in a clear, professional way How data, process, and storytelling come together to support growth in a global asset manager

Requirements

  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Curiosity about investments and financial markets, especially alternatives
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and attention to detail in presentation materials
  • Ability to work collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • A proactive mindset and interest in learning how global asset managers operate

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with product launch planning and tracking
  • Supporting distribution reporting, dashboards, and internal communications
  • Researching and summarizing competitor or platform activity
  • Helping prepare materials for senior leadership meetings and strategic initiatives
  • Participating in team projects that improve processes, data flow, or event planning
