About The Position

This role is hybrid out of our Boston, MA office and interns are expected to be in office at least 1 day a week. This role does not offer relocation or a moving stipend. We are seeking Software Engineering interns to join us for 10 weeks during summer of 2026. Interns at athena work on a variety of technical problems across products and platform teams, including: Core Products- athenaOne : athenaCollector, athenaClinicals, Patient Experience Platform Services & athena.intelligence – Data Science We offer dynamic, energetic, and collaborative teams that thrive in athena’s open working environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Experience reading and writing code in a programming language
  • Experience working collaboratively towards project goals and deadlines
  • Must be local to Boston during entirety of the internship (June 1st 2026-August 7th 2026)
  • This is an in-office position, without possibility of remote status
  • We do not offer relocation assistance of any kind for this program
  • Must be available for the entire intern program: June, 1st 2026- August, 7th 2026 (dates are not flexible)
  • This position is ineligible for any form of immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolled in a full-time Computer Science or relevant technical academic program, or relevant technical degree program is a plus, though we will consider non-traditional, non-CS degreed applicants.
