About The Position

Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Marketing Engineering Intern in the Systems Irvine Business Group, you will partner with marketing engineers perform Product line performance analysis ( Gross margin, cost ratio) helping and supporting market research on market sizing, trends and competition. In this role, you will report to the Product Line Manager. Internship Program Overview: 3 month intern assignment within a functional area of MKS Instruments that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends. Meaningful work and project assignments. Networking opportunities with peers and executives. Exposure to different divisions of the business. Understanding of MKS Instruments’ commitment to culture & belonging. Program Term: This is a 3-month assignment beginning in Summer 2026.

Requirements

• Master's level, Junior or Senior Undergraduate Years of job-related work experience
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program for Business program, Optics Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Analysis, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and is detail oriented
• Qualified candidate must be US Persons.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and consolidating data from multiple sources (backlog, revenue, shipment schedules, supply-chain inputs, RFQs) into a single, cohesive report.
• Automating data processing and reporting using Excel macros or other software tools to streamline updates and reduce manual work.
• Creating regular update summaries that translate complex operational data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
• Developing dashboards or trackers that pull live or frequently updated inputs to improve visibility across teams.
• Improving process efficiency by identifying gaps, simplifying reporting workflows, and enhancing data accuracy.
