Little, nationally recognized as a “Best Firm to Work For” and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, is seeking Engineering Summer Interns ( Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural or Architectural Engineering) with a positive, collaborative work style and interest in designing building systems for our office in Charlotte, NC and Durham, NC offices. We have offices in Charlotte NC, Newport Beach, CA, Durham NC, Orlando FL and Washington DC. A bit more about this Internship opportunity: We’re looking for a creative team player with strong communication & organizational skills. The candidate will preferably have experience using a variety of industry software including but not limited to: Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Activities may include: field site assessments, drafting, municipal permitting & entitlements, code research, material research and specifications. Our Interns work on real projects all summer under the mentoring of licensed engineers. The successful applicant will gain exposure to a diverse range of skills in the profession. Working side by side with creative architects, designers, engineers, project managers and support staff you will gain valuable hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • You are studying Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and are a rising college junior, senior or graduate student.
  • You have knowledge of Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, and Sketch-up
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
