Department Summary The Summer at Roche Intern Program has been developed to provide students with a fun yet rewarding summer through hands-on experience and numerous opportunities to network with other interns as well as employees in the organization. Additionally, we help our students meet their career development and educational goals while potentially building a future with the Roche organization. This specific internship will give you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where both quality compliance and business efficiency are critical. This internship position is located in Tucson, Arizona (on-site). The Opportunity Gain foundational knowledge of qualification principles, practices, and basic tools used in equipment/system, facilities, and utilities qualification Collaborate across multiple functions in a fast paced environment to achieve mutual goals Develop strong foundational engineering and technical writing skills to operate in a regulated environment. Program Highlights Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June (Summer). A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry. Who You Are Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student). Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program). Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student). Required Majors: Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or any science/engineering related discipline. Required Skills: Understanding of basic systems engineering techniques and principles. Ability to follow detailed directions and learn from limited supervision. Maintains Right to Operate by keeping an interest in increasing quality and promoting a "Quality First Time" mindset. Makes decisions based on facts and leverage insights derived from thorough analysis to minimize risk.
