Summary of Position The Validation Engineering Intern will support the Aseptic Validation Group and shadow the Validation Associate Engineer to perform calibration of processing equipment instrumentation, commissioning and qualification of processing tanks, holding tanks, aseptic fillers, autoclaves, and depyrogenation ovens, and tunnels.

Requirements

  • Major(s): Bio-medical Engineering with knowledge of Bio-Thermodynamics, Biofluid mechanics, lab instrumentation operations. concepts of numerical simulations in bioengineering, Aseptic equipment operations and minor setup and trouble shooting
  • Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior
  • GPA: Min 3.0
  • Availability: Must be able to work onsite in Hunt Valley, MD from May 18, 2026– Aug 7, 2026
  • Technical Skills: COMSOL, MATLAB/Minitab, and Excel
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word. Projects and Power Point)
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Product Validation Engineers in the development of test solution/proposals.
  • Ensure the validation tasks are finished timely, improving the test efficiency and automating the test execution
  • Tracking test cases, failure analysis on defective product or components, root cause analysis.
  • Develop understanding of product concepts and SOW/PRD
  • Follow up all test plans, test specifications and test reports.
  • Project tracking (action items, journals, time entry, milestones, and deliverables checklists).
  • PV documentation package templates (test plans, test specification, Test scripts and Reports)
