Job Summary- General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join our Artillery team. In this role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience! This internship is in-person at our St. Petersburg, FL location during the dates of May 18th to August 6th, 2026.

Requirements

  • Required education and experience: Must be currently enrolled in related Business or Supply Chain courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Attentiveness.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to professional employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
  • Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records.
  • Learns organizational processes and procedures.
  • Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
  • May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
  • Handles basic issues and problems
  • Will undertake, initially, a range of administrative and support tasks for the Artillery Supply Chain department
  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
  • Recommend process improvements identified during the internship
