Our summer internship is designed to introduce college students to Air Liquide and the industrial gas industry. Air Liquide supplies oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and many other specialty gasses, molecules, services and technologies to a wide range of industries, providing customers with innovative solutions that are vital to their industrial production and sustainability. Located in over 78 countries, we have more than 1,000,000 customers globally in diverse industries such as steel, food and beverage, electronics and pharmaceuticals. Interns work in a specific area of Air Liquide to develop their knowledge and skills while making contacts with people at all levels of the Company. Over the course of the internship, students learn about the Air Liquide corporate identity and culture while being given opportunities to build relationships with other new employees. Please email our team at [email protected] Below are examples of engineering internships: Plant Operations - Provide engineering support to the daily management and efficient operation of an Air Liquide production facility. Assist plant management and/or engineering teams in the execution of large maintenance activities and/or plant process improvements. Students will become familiar with a specific production technology/process based on the location as well as a general introduction to the plant working environment. Technical Support - Provide engineering support to zone engineering teams responsible for the execution of efficiency and continuous improvement projects at various plant locations within a defined geographical area. Support zone reliability centers in the execution of major plant maintenance and installation of new equipment. Students will become familiar with one or more specific plant technologies (based on location) and existing operational efficiency models. Project Engineer – Assist experienced project engineers and/or managers in the execution of small (<$2M), medium ($2M - $10M), or large (>$10M) projects. Includes interactions with vendors and customers, troubleshooting installations of new equipment, project cost estimation and oversight of maintenance and operational personnel. Students will become familiar with Air Liquide project management methodologies and reporting tools. Additionally, we have business roles available for engineering interns who have interest in the corporate side of the business. Examples of business internships for engineering students are: product management, business development, strategic development, and energy management. These roles entail assisting in the continuous improvement of business processes and data collection systems, providing analysis for the interpretation of business data and the creation of concise, objective reports to be shared with senior management.
