Day in the Life of a Manufacturing Engineering Intern We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. From tiltrotor technology to tail sitting vehicles, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Bell, you can expect to provide direct manufacturing support, identifies process improvements and works with Bell's manufacturing teams to resolve issues and deploy new solutions. Assignments could be within Fort Worth manufacturing facilities or Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship (June 1, 2026) or prior Bell internship experience
  • Able to complete the entire 10 weeks of the internship: June 1 – August 7, 2026.
  • 3.0 GPA preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge using Computer Aided Design through school or previous experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing machinery (ex: Lathes, Mills, Drill press, CNC) and techniques.
  • Participation with Formula SAE and other project-based teams or groups.
  • A passion for working hands on with materials in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Responsibilities

  • Support the production/technology development, process improvement, and project manage new aircraft.
  • Use your passion for engineering to drive and identify process capacities, failure modes, and corrective action/improvement opportunities.
  • Develop new processes and validate corrective actions by using computer aided software packages and statistical analysis software.
  • Work among a team of driven production engineers to measure project performance.
  • Assignments will be assigned directly from production engineering management.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Personnel on process improvements and defect reduction.
