About The Position

At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives - a mission we’ve honed since 1859. This Intern will support the Investments department within Finance at Equitable Holdings (EQH) and gain exposure to additional functions through group research projects and networking opportunities with peers in the program. The investment team comprises the General Account and the Investment Management Group. This internship will be based within the General Account, which manages the portfolio responsible for fulfilling future claims and benefits to policyholders.

Requirements

  • Rising senior or junior pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree with coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business-related fields, engineering, or any quantitative area, with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Strong financial and quantitative data analysis skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey clear and concise executive messages to both internal and external audiences from complex topics.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, solve problems, and think strategically and critically.
  • Highly proactive, with a strong comfort level working in often ambiguous environments, anticipating needs and staying ahead of them.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ease in interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Extremely organized with attention to detail.
  • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability to work the full duration of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare various management presentations, including monthly and quarterly reviews with the executive management team, internal and external board meetings, and other meetings and conferences.
  • Deliver clear, cohesive, and compelling presentations to leadership teams both within and outside of Finance.
  • Assist in project management and the prioritization of special projects.
  • Perform financial analysis, strategic business analysis, and detailed industry research.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluate fund characteristics within their peer group using fund and industry data.
  • Produce summary reports for presentation to Executive Management.
  • Contribute to team discussions.
  • Assist in executing process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote team engagement.
  • Present a final research project to leaders in the Finance organization.
