The Human Genetics organization advances discovery and translational science by integrating large-scale genomic data with disease biology to generate insights that inform drug discovery and precision medicine. Our work spans autoimmune disease, inflammation, and oncology, with a strong emphasis on immune-mediated mechanisms and causal inference. This internship provides doctoral-level trainees with the opportunity to contribute to high-impact, business-critical research at the intersection of human genetics, immunology, and computational biology. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. As an Integrative Immunogenomics Intern, you will lead a focused research project leveraging whole-genome sequencing data and advanced variant calling outputs to understand how structural variation, somatic variation, and HLA diversity influence immune pathways relevant to disease risk and therapeutic response.
