2026 Summer Intern - Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Department Summary The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at Genentech currently has an internship opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assist in research projects focused on disease impact on drug PK behavior using physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling approach in the PK/Transport group. Our group provides expertise in small molecule DMPK and support projects throughout drug discovery and development. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity Collate literature and internal data for demographic and biomarkers for lupus population. Build virtual Lupus population for PBPK simulations Collate and summarize literature data for PK differences in lupus patients compared to healthy subjects Simulate example drug PK in lupus patients and healthy subjects using PBPK and compare with clinical observations Summarize and present research findings to both experts and general scientific audience Program Highlights Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June (Summer) A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
