Corporate Operations (Launch Readiness) Summary The Corporate Operations team takes on complex enterprise initiatives to drive organizational performance and outcomes. As a member of this team, you will support Ionis’s cross-functional launch readiness efforts for upcoming product launches, including TRYNGOLZA for sHTG and zilganersen for Alexander’s Disease. The Corporate Operations Summer Intern will contribute to key launch readiness activities spanning pre-launch planning to post-launch support. Working across enabling functions such as Accounting, Finance, HR, IT, Quality, Safety/PV, and Legal, they will help coordinate key activities, track milestones, and identify potential risks to ensure alignment across teams. This experience will provide the intern with exposure to how diverse teams prepare for commercialization and what it takes to bring a product to market. The intern will build skills in leadership, strategic project management, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to Ionis’s overall launch readiness success.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, life sciences, public health, engineering or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and timelines
  • Interested in learning about pharmaceutical commercialization, launch readiness, and cross-functional operations in a collaborative environment
  • MUST be currently enrolled in a U.S. Undergraduate and/or Graduate Degree Program and not graduating prior to the completion of the Ionis internship.
  • MUST be able to begin internship between 6/8 and 8/14/2026.
  • MUST be able and willing to remain in program through at least 8/14/2026.
  • MUST be able and willing to commit to a minimum 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

  • Own the preparation and follow-through for cross-functional launch readiness meetings, including shaping agendas, synthesizing discussions, and tracking decisions and commitments
  • Manage launch readiness trackers and status dashboards, ensuring accuracy and providing visibility into progress across enabling functions in support of Commercial readiness
  • Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies and proactively communicate findings to support informed decision-making and mitigation strategies
  • Prepare executive-level presentations for Commercial and leadership that consolidate updates from enabling teams (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Quality, Safety/PV, Legal)
  • Contribute to ad hoc project work that supports alignment between enabling functions and Commercial teams throughout pre-launch and post-launch activities
