The Cell and Tissue Genomics Oncology group utilizes advanced genomic technologies to investigate the molecular mechanisms underpinning cancer initiation, progression, and drug resistance. This research is critical for identifying novel and differentiated drug targets to treat cancer. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site. The Opportunity Join a highly cross-functional team, engaging in cutting-edge science aimed at delivering transformative medicines to patients. Develop and implement molecular and cell biology assays to assess the intrinsic immunogenicity of various cancer models. Design experiments utilizing cutting-edge genomic techniques to analyze and track changes in cell state during treatment. Employ bioinformatics and computational approaches for the analysis of complex datasets, converting findings into practical scientific conclusions. Communicate research outcomes effectively through presentations at group and department meetings across various internal functions within Genentech. Program Highlights Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June 2026. A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
