About The Position

The student intern will take part in a highly collaborative environment with professional architects, landscape architects, and planners while being involved in DTJ Design's diverse portfolio of project types. The DTJ internship will also allow students opportunities to work on local and international, multi-discipline project types including residential, community amenities, themed entertainment, resorts, and urban contexts. The intern will have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of design, from conceptual design through construction documentation with a project team consisting of multiple team members of varying experiences and job positions. What you can expect in this role: Communication – Improve communication with project team members, consultants, and clientele through involvement with design charettes, client meetings, client calls, etc. in a highly collaborative environment. Technical Skills – Improve technical skills through mentorship of project team members who will help teach cutting edge technologies being used in daily project work such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Hand Drawing, etc. Documentation – Improve knowledge of the creative process and developing documentation packages that best meet the needs of clients. Gain a better understanding of project phases from concept level to construction documentation.
