Municipal Court of Atlanta Intern Posting Expires: April 23, 2026 Salary: $15/hourly General Description and Classification Standards Performs various and diverse administrative and/or project duties depending on specific department and job assignment. This title is typically assigned to someone currently in high school or attending college who is interning to gain more experience and knowledge of a specific function in municipal government. Supervision Received Works under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs various and diverse administrative and/or project duties depending on specific department and job assignment. This title is typically assigned to someone currently in high school or attending college who is interning to gain more experience and knowledge of a specific function in municipal government. Engages in on-the-job training on operational policies and work procedures to attain the necessary talents which allow the incumbent to contribute to the work being produced by the organizational unit to which assigned. Collects information/data. Compiles and prepares reports. May prepare presentations for staff members. Attends project team meetings. May do filing, answer phone and other clerical duties in addition to administrative/project assignments. Decision Making Follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Leadership Provided None. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience Currently in High School or pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline for the department in which person is an intern. This job requires mandatory in office work only. Licensures and Certifications - None required. Preferred Requirements - P ursuing an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline for the department in which person is an intern (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).
