About The Position

The Graphic Design Intern will be part of the Corporate Communications team, working closely with the Creative Services group, which serves as a shared resource across the entire Related business. The intern will assist in producing creative deliverables that strengthen Related’s presence with both internal stakeholders and external audiences. Projects may include marketing presentations, event collateral, signage, HR communications, and digital assets such as social media graphics and email campaigns.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate junior or senior with an expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027.
  • Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, Multimedia Design, or a closely related field.
  • Portfolio required – must showcase original design work (academic or professional) demonstrating proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Canva; familiarity with Figma and basic HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration, adaptability, communication, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with Figma and basic HTML/CSS

Responsibilities

  • Contribute ideas and support brainstorming sessions to shape visual concepts and creative direction.
  • Conduct research to support projects, including sourcing imagery and compiling inspiration from external design references and market research.
  • Support the upkeep of digital platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy across design assets.
  • Provide additional creative support as needed across projects and initiatives.
