About The Position

The Mascot Performer brings the Mariner Moose to life by captivating and energizing fans during Seattle Mariners home games, community events, and other engagements. This role calls for a dynamic personality, dependability, and exceptional athleticism. We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who can deliver high-energy performances at T-Mobile Park and beyond.

Requirements

  • Prior mascot experience with a professional, collegiate or minor league sports team
  • Possesses strong people skills and ability to engage with individuals of all backgrounds and ages, especially children
  • Must be reliable to report to work on-time and to work in assigned area independently
  • Exhibits teamwork; collaborates and communicates with team members with a positive demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal and nonverbal communication skills; all interactions are respectful and appropriate for the audience
  • Comfortable with crowds and public interaction

  • Due to costume restrictions applicants must be between 5’9” and 6’2” and weigh between 140lbs and 190lbs.
  • Must wear and perform in assigned mascot costume at all times when working
  • Must be comfortable maintaining and operating Moose Van (Chevy Express 3500 Passenger Van)
  • Works in all weather conditions while wearing the mascot costume
  • Lifts up to 25 pounds
  • Works shifts dependent on game and event schedules including nights, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Prior performance experience in dance, drama, acrobatics, or other relevant fields preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform as the Mariner Moose during home games, creating memorable interactions with fans and fostering an engaging ballpark atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the Mariners Game Entertainment Coordinator to develop and perform 1-2 approved video pieces, live skits, dance routines, or other entertainment elements performed by the Moose program each homestand.
  • Assist in crafting daily game schedules for the Moose to ensure visibility across the ballpark while meeting fan engagement goals.
  • Participate in at least 15 club, community, and private events across the Northwest, with occasional travel outside the region.
  • Occasionally respond to fan emails and feedback through the Mariner Moose email account.
  • Maintain mascot-related costumes, props, equipment, locker room, and vehicles.
  • Contribute to events such as Moose’s Birthday, Kids’ Appreciation Day, and other community initiatives.
  • Support the Experiential Marketing team with additional projects and assignments.
