Job Description 3M - 2026 RISE Symposium Raising Influence in Science and Engineering Please note, this is an application to attend 3M’s 3-day RISE Symposium event, this is not a job application. Date: August 17 - 19, 2026 9 am - 4 pm CST Location: Virtual Conference (via Microsoft Teams) Application Deadline: May 1st , 202 6 What is RISE? 3M RISE is intended to introduce emerging science and engineering graduate talent to the wide range of rewarding careers in research and development at one of the world’s most recognized innovation companies . This program is open to students of all backgrounds. Applicants will be considered based on merit. Participants in the RISE Event will: Further your professional development and gain skills to better navigate industry recruitment Hear from leading 3M researchers and R&D executives Network with a community of emerging scientific talent and hear about their research experiences Learn about the recruiting process and career opportunities from 3M employees and talent acquisition Application Documents To apply to RISE, you will need to submit both a Resume (1-2 pages) and a Research Statement (1-2 pages) . Both your resume & research statement needs to be uploaded under the “Resume/CV” section ; there is no separate way to upload your documents. The research statement should be a summary of your graduate research including background, the work you have done, and the work you plan to do. Figures and references are encouraged. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M.
