About The Position

The purpose of the renewable energy internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business or a similar field. Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the energy business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace.

Requirements

• Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering, business or related field
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective project management skills
• Effective analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Prior utility or energy industry experience helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Support all activities associated with the development and construction of new renewable generation projects
• Assist with evaluation and due diligence on potential investments, acquisitions and other business evaluations and performs research
• Develop and maintain reports, presentations, project schedules and plans, and track project financials, invoicing and development and construction status of projects
• Assist in the preparation of contracts, permit applications, regulatory filings and other activities necessary to ensure regulatory compliance
• Analyze financial models; provide summary of information to development team on analysis
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
