Requirements

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Work 40 hours/week throughout the course of a 12-week summer internship between May through September
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in finance, economics, industrial engineering, accounting, supply chain management, operations and information systems, business administration and management, mathematics, or related field, with a graduation conferral date between December 2026 and June 2027

  • Takes ownership of tasks and ability to make decisions
  • Demonstrates patience and perseverance during setbacks and challenges
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft packages (including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting local Procurement activities related to new site launches
  • Providing ongoing Procurement support to existing sites
  • Delivering policy and process training to requesters and key stakeholders/functions
  • Identifying and managing a local supply base
  • Responsible for managing supplier relationships
  • Enforcing and monitoring Procurement policy compliance and working with the relevant individuals to make improvements where required
  • Proactively leading, executing and Supporting Procurement project activities throughout all phases of the project
  • Partnering with other Procurement Specialists to consolidate the supply base and Business as usual (BAU) requirements
  • Identifying savings opportunities and Partnering with Category Managers to deliver savings through tenders/negotiations/contract renewals.
  • Managing the relationship with our internal customers
