JOB DETAILS: Location: San Jose, CA or Santa Clara, CA Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term Duration: Summer/Fall Co-op: May 18, 2026 - December 11, 2026 or June 22, 2026 - December 11, 2026 Summer Internship: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026 or June 22, 2026 – September 11, 2026 Fall Internship: September 14, 2026 – December 11, 2026 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: We are seeking a highly motivatedn AI Models Software Engineering intern/co-op to join our team and participate in research and development of next-generation product differentiation features with extraordinary ML/AI engineers. In this role – Innovative Research: Work on groundbreaking projects and collaborate with a team of highly skilled industry specialists. Optimize AI Models: Leverage quantization, sparsity, and architecture search methods to optimize and enhance the performance, efficiency, and accuracy of Generative AI models. Unlock the full potential of AI technology and enable groundbreaking solutions. Collaborate with Experts: Work with software engineers, data scientists, and researchers to integrate AI models into software applications and platforms. Learn from the best and work together to achieve seamless integration and optimal performance. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI algorithms, frameworks, and technologies. Continuously explore new techniques and approaches to be the benchmark in AI development and optimization technology. Research, design, and implement novel methods for efficient Generative AI Algorithmic model optimization methods design including quantization, sparsity, NAS, etc Publish your work.

Requirements

  • You are currently enrolled in a US based University in a PhD program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Project experience on generative tasks. Familiar with deep learning frameworks, e.g., Pytorch/JAX/ONNX/TensorFlow
  • Project experiences on model compression, quantization, and end-to-end inference optimization
  • Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence, deep learning or machine learning
  • Strong coding skills in Python required, C/C++ skills a plus
  • Skilled in academic paper writing and technical innovation

Nice To Haves

  • Additional plus if recent publications include conferences such as NeuRIPS, CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, ICML, ICLR, etc
  • Skills related to LLMs, stable diffusion, NeRF, or text-to-video generation is a plus
  • Experience in optimizing and accelerating NLP/Generative AI models is a plus
