About The Position

IFAC, by connecting and uniting its members, makes the accountancy profession truly global. IFAC and its members work together with the Forum of Firms and other key stakeholders to shape the future of the profession through learning, innovation, a collective voice, and commitment to the public interest. We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student to work with IFAC full-time, for 8 weeks from June 1, 2026, to July 24, 2026. The Intern will work specifically with our Education, Member Monitoring, and Development team. This team supports capacity building for Professional Accountancy Organizations (PAOs) across the world, works on a global approach to advancing accountancy education, and supports IFAC members fulfill their membership obligations. The Intern will report directly to our Head of Accountancy Education. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience working in an international environment and learning from colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
  • Excellent research and analysis skills.
  • Self-starter with an agile mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and communicating progress.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage projects and work independently.
  • Flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom), as well as social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on projects and ask questions as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Accounting and/or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile information from professional accountancy organizations and other key stakeholder groups, covering issues and areas impacting the global accountancy profession.
  • Assist in creating, editing, and reviewing content for publications.
  • Provide support to ongoing projects through research, data analysis, drafting reports, etc.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on accountancy education.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Young Leaders Collective, including helping to select talent, planning activities, and facilitating engagement among emerging leaders.
  • Participate in internal team meetings and gain insight into how relationships both internally and externally are developed and maintained.
  • Support IFAC staff on ongoing projects and other initiatives.
